Disneyworld October 2009

So excited...I got to go to Disneyworld (again) this year!! I can't even keep track of all the times I have gone now! I went with Lindsay and her two cousins, Wendi and Tiffany. We had a ton of fun!! The weather started off hot but kept cooling down every day and by Saturday we were freezing at night!! It was so much fun to go with friends!! We all liked to do the same exact things so there really wasn't any arguments over what to do. Here are a few pictures.

General Conference Part Four

Emma Smith's Bible

This is Emma Smith's Hymn book. You can barely see her name on the book.

I don't remember if this is the Original or just a replica of the podium in the Tabernacle. The Church held General Conference in the Tabernacle before the Conference Center was built.

Lauren's turn giving a "talk."

Inside the Museum there is a section for kids called, "I am a Child of God." This is Lauren posing with a family on their way to Church.

General Conference Part Three

Inside the Tabernacle

I loved this sign!! You would never see this in Mesa.

Inside the North Visitor Center.

Snow on the mountains!

After we watched the Afternoon Session and Lauren's Grandma's House we went back to Temple Square. We went to the Church Museum. He is an original Book of Mormon.

General Conference Pictures Part Two

Snowing Outside the Conference Center!

Pictures from General Conference Part One

Lauren and I are ready to go!! There is plenty of snow on the ground!! Little did we know...we would be running to the Conference Center to get inside on time...we might have picked different shoes!! Basically, we were looking for an exit that doesn't exist so we missed downtown and didn't realize until we were in Jordan. Lots of prayers helped us get to the Conference Center on time!!

The Conference Center inside!! We made it!! Our seats were way up in the balcony but they were great seats. I took this picture before the First Presidency came. The Conference Center was absolutely amazing!!

The First Presidency (on the right) along with some of the Apostles. Notice the empty chair on the left...it was empty for long, Elder Anderson sat there when he was sustained as an Apostle.

Another picture of the Conference Center. I didn't know this; but, two Apostles are always missing (empty chairs on the right) just in something happened inside the Conference Center.

Outside the Conference Center after Conference. The Conference Center is amazing. I wish I had been able to walk around it...but...we were late getting there:)

General Conference, Temple Square, and Provo!

Well...I just got home from Salt Lake City and I have to admitt...I am a little sad the weekend is over. It was a truly spiritual experience. It was amazing see everything in Temple Square and being in the Conference Center.
We got in Friday night...pretty late...and boy it was cold!! My suitcase weighed 42.5 pounds and I only was gone for 2 days!! I was a little freaked out for the cold weather and the possibility of snow...I thought I was going to need many, many, many layers to stay warm.
Lauren and I were picked up at the airport by her mom! It was so nice to finally meet her! We then went to Lauren's grandma's house, Grandma J to stay the night. We went to bed pretty quickly since it was already midnight. I told Lauren that I was so excited and I wanted to go now!! She told me to fall asleep and the day would come faster but I said I was too excited to sleep!!

Tonight I am packing and getting all ready to go to Salt Lake City, Utah for General Conference. I am so excited to be there. It is going to be amazing to be in the Conference Center with all of the General Authorities. I love listening to their talks because you can learn so much from them. I am definitely going to bring my journal and take notes and write down my thoughts. I also can't wait to walk around Temple Square and see the Temple and all of the other places of interest. I feel so blessed that I am getting this opportunity...Thanks Lauren's Dad for getting us tickets!!

Doggies got their haircuts!!

Oh...my doggies look so handsome...actually you can't even recognize them! Soon I will post a picture. I think they were a little bummed that I had to take them to the groomer as soon as I got home and they didn't really get to hang out with me tonight.
I am also trying to get stuff ready for YW Girls Camp Meeting next week. I am in my element...making packets for the girls and their parents. I love to get things organized!! Camp is only 8 weeks away!
Can't wait for Friday...and get to go to Salt Lake!!

Visiting Teaching

Tonight Erin and I finished our visiting teaching and my visiting teachers came over as well. I love being able to talk to the women in our ward and getting to know them as friends. I loved this message this month: Uphold, Nourish, and Protect the Family.
I also made an Easter sign to hang in my house over my TV. It turned out great but was a little tedious. As soon as I get my new camera I'll post a picture.
I looked on the weather website and it looks like Salt Lake is going to be in the 40's! I am going to freeze...if it is that cold...it better SNOW! I want to see snow!! I'll be pulling out the Winter clothes that I just put away...glad I haven't packed yet!

The doggies needed their shots!!

Tigger and Pogo are going to be boarded this weekend because my friend, Lauren and I are going to General Conference in Salt Lake!! I had to take the boys to get a shot today! Boy...they can be embarrassing...running in two different directions and trying to "mark" everything!! They were on pretty good behavior and Pogo only barked twice...which is very unlike him. Tonight I have to get things picked up and clean. The rest of the week is going to be crazy!! Visiting teaching, haircuts, packing....yikes!
